Free Game Program launches a student-athlete resource blog.

Welcome to the Free Game Program student-athlete resource blog! Free Game Program is a 501c3 organization committed to helping to produce well educated, professionally successful, and civilly responsible student-athletes while using sports as the vehicle to a lifetime of financial freedom.

If you’ve made your way to this blog post, welcome to the Free Game Family! My name is Bre’ana Singleton, most call me Bre, you can too. I wanted to formally introduce myself and tell you a little bit about how Free Game came to be and what you can expect from us. In short, I’m a former student-athlete trying to make some change but you can learn more about me here.

I’m a former collegiate student-athlete, having played Women’s Basketball at the University of West Georgia. I graduated debt-free with a Mass Communications degree in 2017 and landed my dream job in radio shortly after. Everything was great for about 3 years. And then…a global pandemic hit.

Like billions of others across this Earth, I was affected. Being furloughed from my job gave me a lot of time. Time to relax, time to read, time to think, and time to observe. The world had shifted in a way that none of us have ever seen. Lives and jobs have been lost, livelihoods forever impacted. Sports stopped. Altogether. There were no games, no practices, no camps. Athletes at every level, amateur and professional, had to put the game on pause. Enter, Free Game Program.

The goal of the Free Game Program student-athlete blog

The goal of Free Game Program is to help student-athletes prepare for life after sports. We want to focus on the holistic development of student-athletes, as opposed to simply stressing athletics.

This blog will serve as a resource for information in five major categories:

We’ll be your one-stop-shop for everything players, parents, and coaches need to know about the student-athlete recruiting process, from how to sign up through the NCAA Clearinghouse to how to decompress after a long day of training for the sport you love.

Follow Free Game Program

If you are a fan of our work and support our mission, I would ask that you share what we’re doing with a student-athlete or parent whom it might benefit. Lastly, nonprofits survive and thrive through charitable giving. So, if you’re able, please consider donating to our cause.

You can learn more about us on our website and can also follow us on all social media platforms and Youtube @freegameprogram.

Thank you for being a Game Changer!
